Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics (SGPPL) today announced that it has acquired the assets of The Green Glue Company of West Fargo, North Dakota, a privately owned manufacturer of visco-elastic soundproofing technology. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
From its manufacturing location in West Fargo, Green Glue supplies products to global construction customers specializing in sound control. Saint-Gobain plans to integrate the Green Glue business into its Foams business unit.
"We are pleased by the prospect of welcoming The Green Glue Company to Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics," said Tom Kinisky, president of SGPPL. "The Green Glue product line is complementary to our Norseal®, Normount® and Thermalbond® product lines supplied to the commercial and residential construction markets. This transaction will allow Saint-Gobain to strengthen our offerings to these important markets."
The Green Glue products will continue to be marketed under the Green Glue brand.
