EPA Energy Star Award

corp-social-respons_sustain_0.pngIn 2015, Saint-Gobain was awarded the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the seventh consecutive year – the fifth year in a row that the company attained the award at the coveted Sustained Excellence level. The award recognizes Saint-Gobain's outstanding leadership in energy management and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency. Saint-Gobain is the first and only manufacturer of glass containers or fiberglass insulation ever to receive the award.

DOE Better Buildings, Better Plants Award

In 2013, Saint-Gobain was recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy for its commitment to energy efficiency and leadership in the first year of the Better Buildings, Better Plants Challenge. Launched by President Obama in December 2011, the goal of the program strives to improve the energy efficiency of American commercial and institutional buildings and industrial plants by 20 percent or more by 2020. Saint-Gobain reduced its energy intensity by 3 percent in the first year of the initiative, putting the company on track to meet the President's goal by 2020.
