Saint-Gobain, the worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction, and Greentown Labs, the largest climatetech incubator in North America, today announced the extension of their Terawatt Partnership through 2026.

Saint-Gobain North America, through its subsidiary CertainTeed Roofing, has enhanced operational practices and made process improvements at its glass mat facility in Charleston, South Carolina, saving over 16,000 MMBtu of energy (over 4,500 MWh), and saving carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to that of the average gasoline-powered passenger car traveling over two million miles.

Saint-Gobain has completed the acquisition, announced on April 3, 2024, of The Bailey Group of Companies (Bailey), a leading manufacturer of metal building solutions in Canada. With approximately 690 employees working across twelve manufacturing sites throughout Canada, Bailey will reinforce Saint-Gobain’s commitment to growth in the country, adding more than C$500 million in revenues.

Saint-Gobain North America today announced that it has launched a partnership with Good360, the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving and #2 on the Forbes List of America's Top 100 Charities, to support the organization’s disaster preparation and relief efforts throughout the United States and Canada. The partnership aligns with Saint-Gobain’s global Purpose – Making the World a Better Home by enabling greater investment of resources distributed in local communities recovering from the effects of natural disasters and embedding corporate social responsibility in the company’s actions and decisions.

Convinced of the urgency to advance the cause of sustainable construction in the face of climate challenges, demographic changes, and the need to protect resources, Saint-Gobain launched the Sustainable Construction Observatory in 2023. Today, this Observatory has released the second edition of its Sustainable Construction Barometer , a study conducted by the CSA research institute, to better understand the perceptions of key stakeholders and the levers to be activated to accelerate the development of sustainable construction in the United States and around the world.
