Saint-Gobain has completed the acquisition, announced on April 3, 2024, of The Bailey Group of Companies (Bailey), a leading manufacturer of metal building solutions in Canada. With approximately 690 employees working across twelve manufacturing sites throughout Canada, Bailey will reinforce Saint-Gobain’s commitment to growth in the country, adding more than C$500 million in revenues.

Saint-Gobain, par l'intermédiaire de sa filiale de produits de construction CertainTeed Inc., et TimberHP, fabricant de composites isolants en bois, ont annoncé aujourd'hui avoir conclu une relation de collaboration qui permettra à CertainTeed de distribuer les produits d'isolation en fibre de bois de TimberHP en Amérique du Nord, notamment en tant que partenaire de distribution exclusif au Canada. Réalisé en étroite collaboration avec NOVA par Saint-Gobain, la filiale capital-risque de l'entreprise, ce partenariat continuera de soutenir la vision de Saint-Gobain d'être le leader mondial de la construction légère et durable et améliorera ses propres offres durables et sa capacité à répondre aux besoins des clients.

Saint-Gobain North America today announced that it has launched a partnership with Good360, the global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving and #2 on the Forbes List of America's Top 100 Charities, to support the organization’s disaster preparation and relief efforts throughout the United States and Canada. The partnership aligns with Saint-Gobain’s global Purpose – Making the World a Better Home by enabling greater investment of resources distributed in local communities recovering from the effects of natural disasters and embedding corporate social responsibility in the company’s actions and decisions.

Convinced of the urgency to advance the cause of sustainable construction in the face of climate challenges, demographic changes, and the need to protect resources, Saint-Gobain launched the Sustainable Construction Observatory in 2023. Today, this Observatory has released the second edition of its Sustainable Construction Barometer , a study conducted by the CSA research institute, to better understand the perceptions of key stakeholders and the levers to be activated to accelerate the development of sustainable construction in the United States and around the world.

Cet Observatoire publie aujourd'hui la deuxième édition de son Baromètre de la construction durable , une étude menée par l'institut de recherche CSA, pour mieux comprendre les perceptions des principaux intervenants et les leviers à actionner pour accélérer le développement de la construction durable au Canada et dans le monde.

Saint-Gobain North America announced today that its team members have been named finalists in three 2024 Manufacturing Leadership Awards categories from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). The company’s CertainTeed Roofing plant in Oxford, North Carolina was recognized for its achievements to create a transformational culture, while its Saint-Gobain Life Sciences’ facility in Beaverton, Michigan was honored for its work in the category of sustainability and circular economy. In addition, Ben Thieme, an engineer with Saint-Gobain ADFORS in Dublin, Georgia, and Jonathan Miller, an Automation Integration and OPEX Manager at Saint-Gobain Life Sciences in Akron, Ohio have been recognized in the category of Next-Generation Leadership.    

Saint-Gobain, par l’entremise de sa filiale de matériaux de construction CertainTeed Canada, a annoncé aujourd’hui son intention d’acquérir le groupe de sociétés Bailey (« Bailey »), grand fabricant canadien de systèmes commerciaux de charpente métallique et de construction. L’ajout complémentaire de la gamme existante de produits de charpente métalliques de haute qualité de Bailey au Canada élargira l’offre globale de Saint-Gobain dans cette catégorie et renforcera davantage la position de la société en tant que chef de file mondial de la construction légère et durable. Dans le cadre de l’acquisition en cours, Saint-Gobain fera également l’acquisition des capitaux propres et des actifs restants de The Grid Company, coentreprise de fabrication d’ossature de plafond qu’elle exploite avec Bailey depuis 10 ans. De plus, une fois approuvée, l’acquisition visera toutes les divisions du Groupe Bailey, soit Produits Métalliques Bailey, Bailey Metal Processing et Métaux Agway.
