CNC Machinist, Manufacturing - Omniseal Solution

$22.00-$43.00 PER HOUR plus $1.00 shift differential. DOE. plus Quarterly Bonus's, 4/10 SCHEDULED MONDAY-THURSDAY 2nd SHIFT 4:30PM-3:00AM.

The CNC Machinist is responsible for various types of the manufacture, contraction operation, which will include the CNC mills, Haas mill and Lathe CNCs, setup, fixtures and equipment of die-rollers, tools, production parts, etc. The CNC Machinist is accountable for the operation of the CNC machines as well as conventional Machines. Responsible for the complete manufacturing of parts being made in the machine shop area. Will work with the shop manager and associates regarding procurement and stock availability. The CNC Machinist at all times act as a role model of professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision making.

Essential Functions:

Ensures that all equipment in the CNC area is maintained to operate at the highest level of efficiency

Provides all reports accurately and on-time.
Read and understand blueprints.

Working with associates, peers, and other managers to anticipate problems and plan for upcoming events. Setting objectives and ensuring they are met.
Set ups, fixtures and tooling
Set ups and operates conventional, manuals machines such as engine lathe, mills, and surface grinder
Program and editing and other CNC related duties

Performs work according to safety policies and practices related to the position
Ensures that the machine shop is clean and organized at all times
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.


IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience in Manufacturing Environment  operating inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, CMM, hight gages and comparators is required.
3-5 years operating CNC machines is required.    
Ability to use measurement tools, read blue prints and inspection practices to determine Product dimensions for accuracy.    
Adhere to all Safety Activities and practices    
Understanding and ability to Implement 5s principles    
Makes quality parts that meet customer specifications in a fast paced work environment.    
Manage time effectively and adhere to schedules in order to meet customer demands without compromising product quality.
Read blueprint drawings and work orders to understand and meet customer specifications.    
Accepts or rejects parts and records inspection results.    
Learns and performs set-ups with little to no supervision.     
Use basic computer navigation to input labor and move transactions.    
Learns and operates multiple pieces of spring fabrication equipment while maintaining production quality standards.    
Applies problem solving techniques to daily work.    
Meets daily and ongoing production quotas in a machine-shop production environment.     
Strives for and promotes a safe and accident free work environment.    
Strives for and promotes a collaborative work atmosphere.    
Maintains work area before, during, and after each scheduled shift in accordance with 5S principles.    
Contributes to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Lead.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $22.00 to $43.00 per hour, plus $1.00 shift differential, depending on experience. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/a quarterly bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 7.5% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position is $45,760 to $89,440. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.

  • Assist in identifying parts needed and kitting/staging parts as necessary
End of Shift
  • Communicate with the Crew Chief – Mechanical maintenance to understand all issues related to Production Line reliability and performance
  • Ensure cleaning of maintenance area/shop and transportation vehicle is clean and all trash and parts have been sorted and removed for the incoming shift, etc.
Communication
  • Report any unsafe conditions to Supervision and Crew Chief
  • Report any issues with environmental impact to supervision and Crew Chief
  • Communicate with Crew Chief and or Supervision and report any unresolved work to Crew Chief
  • Communicate with Crew Chief, Supervisor or Shift Manager status of equipment from maintenance performed or needed
  • Communicate with Production/ Warehouse as needed

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems (air lines, solenoids)

  • Utilize CMMS system to include: work order creation & closure, spare parts identification, purchase requisition creating, and purchase order receiving

  • Responsible for training of maintenance personnel
  • Secures machinery or equipment in emergency situations which would endanger personnel or company property

Machine Operator-Industrial Operations, Swing Shift Hours,5PM-5AM, $22.50/hr, Albion, NY

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The primary function of the Machine Operator is to provide productive and efficient operations in the assigned department which may include the Knit/Coat/Glue, and Laid Scrim production lines.

Safe operation of various machinery including but not limited to: forklift, mandrel puller,
overhead crane, manual hand jack, and electric pallet jack.
- Ability to operate designated machinery, and maintain material refills to ensure continuous production.
- Perform accurate standard and metric measurements and understand standard to metric conversions. Ability to read, understand and execute all customer order specifications.
- Ability to possess a thorough understanding of machine operation and inherent machine complexities. Operators in the Converting department are also responsible for accurate set-up and adjustments of machinery.

-Able to recognize quality defects in all product rolls and make appropriate corrective splices.
- Responsible for observing safety precautions at all times. Must work in a manner that is safe while continuously ensuring quality, production and performance expectations are met.
-Responsible for performing SMATs and/or TFs and be an active participant in all other facility audit, manufacturing and efficiency programs. This includes WCM involvement in projects and/or meetings, as required. Incumbents are responsible for ensuring 5S standards are met and maintained.

The incumbent is required to have a High School Diploma or GED. The candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of work-related experience in a manufacturing environment.

This position is concerned with a variety of areas in our Manufacturing facility.

Must be able to work unsupervised, efficiently and safely.

Ability to learn, and perform all duties required of the position.

Demonstrated ability of cooperation, leadership and willingness to assist fellow employees in a team-based work environment.

The incumbent works closely with the Department Supervisor and production team members.

Analytical and problem solving skills, mechanical aptitude and effective communication skills are a necessity.

Computer experience with the use of computer, keyboard and mouse is preferred.

Must be detail oriented to accurately record material and inventory related data.

Practical experience with measuring tools, and hand tools including but not limited: tape measure, hammer, pry bar, utility knife, scissors, etc. is required.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the pay rate for this position which is $22.50 per hour, plus night shift differential of $.55/hr for Monday-Friday and $1.20/hr. for Saturday and Sunday. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Hours: 5PM-5AM

Training: Monday through Friday 7AM-3:30PM for a few weeks before going to shift.

Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:
Shift Differentials of $.55/ hr Monday-Friday nights and $1.20/hr for Saturday and Sunday;
Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)
Attendance Incentive for Meeting Company Attendance Requirements paid annually
