Territory Sales Manager- Ceilings Western Canada

Position Summary:

Responsible for driving sales of acoustic ceiling systems (panels and grids) to distributors and contractors by delivering focused education, product demonstrations, and promotional activities. Executes strategies and programs that differentiate both the role and the Company by delivering exceptional support and service, strengthening CertainTeed’s position as the preferred supplier across the Western Canada sales region.

Here is what you’ll be responsible for in this role.

  • Serves as the primary sales representative for all ceiling product requirements (Panels and Grids) across Western Canada, partnering closely with ceiling distributors and contractors.
  • Promotes and sells CertainTeed ceiling products through approved distribution channels across the assigned territory, collaborating closely with the Architectural Products – Canada team and manager for alignment and support.
  • Delivers effective ceiling product and system presentations to contractors and distributors, strengthening product understanding and market pull‑through.
  • Completes and logs the required number of customer calls in Salesforce to maintain consistent territory coverage and engagement. Optimizes effectiveness in the field through continuous use of the assigned CRM program.
  • Engages contractors and builders to convert demand generated by the specification team, working with distribution partners to close related sales.
  • Provides technical support on ceiling systems—coordinating with technical specialists as needed—and builds credibility as a solutions‑oriented industry expert.
  • Oversees and communicates regional rebate programs to support sales performance and enhance distributor relationships.
  • Manages and communicates Rebates Programs in the regions.
  • Initiates contact and maintains follow-up activities with customers to continually discuss their needs and to explain how their needs could be met by specific products and/or service.
  • Provides information about product use, pricing, availability, and credit terms.
  • Identifies new customers through effective research including but not limited to directories, online tools, leads from existing clients, participation in organizations, and networking internally / externally.
  • Investigates and provides solutions to customers regarding complaints with guidance from Manager
  • Obtains and provides current information from the marketplace regarding projects (Quotes), products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. and transmits significant developments to his/her manager.
  • Operates in a safe and environmentally conscious manner, provides preferred service and preferred quality to ceilings customers..
  • Maintains a database of contractors and distributors for the assigned territory.
  • Adheres to corporate policy as well as state and federal legislation with focus particularly on abiding Anti-Trust laws and regulations.
  • Collaborates and aligns with broader sales management teams in developing and implementing the CertainTeed Architectural Sales strategies including Independent Manufacturer’s Representatives who represent Specialties products to win projects for CertainTeed.
  • Participates in all the regional strategic calls and support ASM teams as they pertain to commercial products and markets.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Here is what is important to have to apply:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, marketing, business, or similar discipline, or five (5) years of equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ of applied professional experience in the pull through sales of commercial building products, managing senior customer relationships, sales presentations, job site calls, and closing of sales. Or 5-8 years of similar customer facing sales role.
  • Candidate must have an interest in fieldwork, hands-on demonstrations, and promotion of building products. This position requires a self-starting, highly motivated, individual who works well in a team environment and with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction practices.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking at a senior/ownership level.
  • Good interpersonal, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills with good written and oral communication.
  • Results driven, flexible, open-minded and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: up to 25% overnight

Manufacturing Process Technician - Night Shift

The Process Control Technician is accountable for performing extrusion process troubleshooting, improving the production process through capability studies, design of experiments and training. The position provides support and training for color, thickness, formulation issues and works with the operators and set-ups to assist with material issues and quality concerns.
This position also supports issues/trials/training associated with tooling, X-tore color units, inline inspection systems/cameras, all new process-related equipment as well as manages daily Factory Plus manufacturing reports and Quality Data Management System (QDMS), SAP and Color Change Automation (CCA). Problem solving and troubleshooting is done through logical, systematic and data driven approaches.
  • Troubleshoot and support extrusion process and assist in resolving line problems. Acts as the subject matter expert (SME) of the extrusion process ensuring quality, yield, rate, regrind reuse, scrap and good pounds consumed standards are maintained. 
  • Assist in training with Operators, Area Leads, and Process Techs as well participate in Kaizen events 
    Lead line product/material line trials during shift and design of experiments (DOE) for process improvements 
  • Prepare end of shift reports and data collection (down time, regrind use, scrap, color monitoring, thickness, etc.) 
  • Provide accurate and timely data collection information on each shift. 5%
  • Be the shift liaison by communicating key issues and ensuring resolution of all process-related matters in production 

 

Work Schedule: This position is on the Night Shift working from 6PM to 6AM on a rotating schedule 2/2/3. Must be able to work every other weekends are part of the rotational schedule. Training will take place on the day shift.

Industrial Electrician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This position is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient electrical maintenance of production equipment to meet operating standards and manufacturing needs. The position consists of electrical maintenance of plant equipment, high-speed packaging equipment, sand conveyor systems, gas-fired burners, transfer conveyors, pumps, as well as mobile equipment. The plant has a variety of electrical equipment, including Allen Bradley PLCs & VFDs, Danfoss drives, Modicon PLC’s and Ethernet communications. Working as part of a dynamic team, the position will be involved in all aspects of planned/unplanned electrical maintenance using Continuous Improvement tools and methods (TPM). This is a representative position and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Shifts: 2nd & 3rd

Essential Duties:

  • Read and understand electrical prints and schematic drawings
  • Troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical controls, including 460-volt, three-phase motors and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controlled (PLC) equipment, including Allen Bradley and Modicon controllers
  • Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motors and equipment
  • Perform electrical control design work and equipment control modifications
  • Perform electrical equipment installations according to the National Electrical Code (NEC), including all feeder and branch circuits
  • Maintain a safe work environment and the safety management of assigned employees. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and property loss. Required to complete safety audits/inspections of the assigned work area; thorough investigations of incidents and accidents, job safety analysis, and periodic safety meetings
  • Support 5S and World Class Manufacturing initiatives
  • Work within the Safe Work Process and Permitting procedures in CertainTeed Roofing Inc.
  • Other duties as assigned

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • An Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related one-year industrial electrical trade school training preferred
  • An electrician's license is desired
  • Ability to program PLC and SCADA equipment
  • Previous experience with the maintenance of roofing production equipment is preferred
  • Capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical controls and equipment, including PLC, VFD, and PC communication systems

Provided is the pay rate for this position, which is $47.37 per hour, plus first and second shift differentials of $0.60/hr and $0.70/hr. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.

Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:

  • Shift Differentials (i.e., Hourly Rate plus 2nd Shift Differential of $0.60/ hr; Hourly Rate plus 3rd Shift Differential of $0.70/ hr)
  • Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)

Quality Process Inspector I

The role performs hourly final audits on all key product attributes—including scrub tests, dimensions, alignment, sealant quality, moisture levels, bundle accuracy, and cosmetic checks. What’s the Job?

The Process Engineer will provide technical support for production using process control methods to ensure the product is meeting quality specifications. This position will focus on technical support for operations, process development and optimization, equipment design and optimization, general project engineering, and trial planning and execution. 

The Process Engineer will also assist with Process Innovation through close collaboration with CertainTeed and Saint-Gobain support groups.  Through the application of process engineering fundamentals and advanced process control tools, this position will ensure that processes are stable, capable and in control; reduce process variations; and resolve special causes variation

  • Analyzes process variations; develops solutions and implements corrective actions by using advanced statistical tools in identifying and resolving the root causes of the variations in the process
  • Responsibilities include designing / developing new process systems, revising existing processes, and developing and coordinating the implementation of projects, which contribute substantially to plant profitability.
  • Interacts with Team for operational troubleshooting, process improvement projects, production materials and raw material availability requirements.
