The Sustainability Manager will lead ongoing sustainability initiatives for CertainTeed Siding, directly supporting the company’s Grow & Impact strategy and advancing 2030 and 2050 goals. This role partners cross-functionally to ensure sustainability data is accurately captured and integrated into business decision-making. As a newly created position, it is responsible for driving initiatives, implementing best practices, and leveraging technology to improve environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Sustainability & Product Stewardship:
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage initiatives aligned to 2030 and 2050 sustainability roadmaps
  • Partner with Product, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations to define and quantify opportunities to reach sustainability targets
  • Serve as the central point of contact to standardize sustainability practices across CertainTeed Siding
  • Conduct analyses and develop data-driven business cases to support recommendations
  • Review environmental impact assessments
  • Increase organizational awareness through education, communication, and program development
  • Identify resource needs and prioritize efforts to drive measurable progress
  • Support Climate Fresk training and related corporate initiatives
  • Drive Data & Environmental Impact Reduction:
  • Track material usage and environmental impacts to improve efficiency and reduce waste, carbon footprint, and water usage
  • Identify innovation opportunities and develop implementation pathways for current and future business needs
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor sustainability practices
  • Align Resources & Strategic Planning:
  • Establish strategic and tactical goals; align global, regional, and business resources with clear ownership (RACI)
  • Quantify sustainability impacts for existing and future products/projects
  • Develop methods to track and report performance against targets
  • Present insights, risks, and recommendations to leadership

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $111,000 to $177,000 year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 15 % of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $127,650 to  $203,550 . Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Responsabilités principales

  • Respecter les procédures de travail sécuritaires établies et porter en tout temps les équipements de protection requis;
  • Assurer la réception des marchandises et leur saisie rapide dans le système (≤24h);
  • Inspecter les produits reçus (quantité, qualité) et apposer les étiquettes;
  • Entreposer les produits selon les bonnes pratiques et le principe FIFO;
  • Charger et décharger les camions en respectant les normes de sécurité;
  • Maintenir l’exactitude des inventaires et signaler les écarts;
  • Participer aux inventaires périodiques;
  • Gérer les retours de marchandises et leur traitement;
  • Assurer les contrôles qualité à la réception et à l’expédition;
  • Soutenir les opérations de manutention (préparation, emballage, logistique interne);
  • Accueillir et assister les transporteurs, clients et fournisseurs;
  • Effectuer l’inspection quotidienne des équipements;
  • Veiller en tout temps au respect des normes SST;

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment used in the manufacture of wallboard. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, a collaborative approach with plant personnel, and a strong commitment to safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs repairs to machinery and plant support systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain and promote correct safety standards at all times.
  • Execute preventative maintenance programs and maintain maintenance records.
  • Operate hoists, forklifts, and hand tools (e.g., grinders, drills), to fabricate parts during overhauls, maintenance or machinery setup.
  • Use precision tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauge blocks, levels, and alignment tools.
  • Fabricates custom parts, fixtures and guarding using arc welding, grinding, oxy-acetylene cutting.
  • Assemble and install machinery and equipment, including mixers, saws, pullers, precision bearings, gearboxes, clutches, AC and servo motors, shafts, sprockets, chains, screw conveyors.
  • Perform alignment of pumps and various couplings, including Falk Couplings.
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and WorkSafeBC/OSHA standards.
  • Participates in and support World Class Manufacturing( WCM) and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineers and electricians to complete projects and repairs.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs machinery during breakdowns to support the plant performance goals.
  • Demonstrate solid experience in welding and fabrication.

  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) with Red Seal Designation.
  • 2+ years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available to work overtime, extended hours are expected.
  • Experience with PC software, PLC’s, troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts.
  • Strong familiarity with machine shop practices; use of power tools.
  • Understanding of bearings and their functions.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Shipper/Receiver is responsible for supporting all receiving, shipping, and loading activities within the facility. This role handles the loading of outbound trucks, receiving incoming materials, completing required documentation, and performing inventory counts. The position also involves picking and assembling customer orders, preparing lifts, marking shipments, and packaging materials according to specifications.

Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as errors in picking, packaging, or documentation can impact customer satisfaction and overall operations. The Shipper/Receiver is expected to safely operate forklifts and related equipment, complete pre-use inspections, follow all health and safety regulations, and consistently meet daily targets set by the supervisor.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with dispatch, supervisors, and drivers to understand loading requirements and ensure all loads are completed safely and accurately, including verification of paperwork.
  • Receive incoming shipments by inspecting for damage, verifying material type and quantity, recording shortages and reporting discrepancies, rejecting damaged goods, and submitting all documentation to the supervisor.
  • Pick products according to customer orders and assemble accurate lifts.
  • Conduct inventory counts as assigned.
  • Verify product types and quantities against picking tickets before loading.
  • Mark, stamp, and stencil shipping information on crates or lifts to meet customer and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and load flatbed and box trucks.
  • Safely operate all company tools and equipment.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and load safety based on bills of lading, picking tickets, and other documents.
  • Repair or repackage materials as needed (e.g., taping boxes, re-facing products).
  • Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Serve customers in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Participate in all required quality, job-related, and safety training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • More then 3 years of warehousing experience and forklift experience.
  • Valid forklift license with strong knowledge of safe operating procedures.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken, written, and reading).

Responsabilités

  • Opérer les équipements de production afin de transformer la poudre en granules.
  • Préparer, ajuster, vidanger et nettoyer les équipements selon les recettes et procédures établies.
  • Peser les matières premières, préparer les solutions et surveiller le procédé de granulation.
  • Effectuer les tests d’humidité et assurer le contrôle qualité en collaboration avec le laboratoire.
  • Prélever des échantillons et emballer les produits finis selon les standards de l’entreprise.
  • Emballer les produits finis et réduire en poudre récupérable les lots non conformes, au besoin.

Maintenance Technician II

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This position is responsible for setup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of facilities, manufacturing, and production equipment. Areas of responsibility will include upkeep of production lines, hosting contractors, and other general maintenance / facilities tasks that may be assigned based on dynamic needs. Leads the site’s internal Preventative Maintenance Program and participates in EHS, 5S, WCM, and other site programs as needed.

The position must actively promote a safe working environment, comply with all OSHA, ISO, and Saint-Gobain EHS rules / regulations, report incidents, and participate in the continual improvement of the site in all areas including EHS.

Must work in compliance with the requirements set by all internal ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 procedures. Must effectively communicate across shifts and follow up on lessons learned. Must be able to lift 40lbs. Must be willing to occasionally work overtime on the weekends or by coming in early during the week.

The Poestenkill, NY manufacturing site is part of Saint-Gobain’s Life Sciences Business Unit providing fluid transfer solutions for medical devices, closure systems, analytical equipment and bioprocesses.
