SAINT-GOBAIN RECEIVES 2023 BETTER PROJECT AWARD FROM U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY FOR SMART ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AT ITS BUCHANAN, NEW YORK GYPSUM WALLBOARD PLANT

Saint-Gobain, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed Gypsum Inc., yesterday received the 2023 Better Project Award from the U.S. Department of Energy for the company’s smart energy management system at its Buchanan, New York gypsum facility.   

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Project awards recognize manufacturers who improve energy efficiency and competitiveness in the industrial sector. To be considered for an award, projects must deliver significant waste or energy savings and must be discreet, innovative, and replicable in similar industrial facilities.

SAINT-GOBAIN NORTH AMERICA NAMED FINALIST FOR THREE 2023 MANUFACTURING LEADERSHIP AWARDS FROM THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MANUFACTURERS

Saint-Gobain North America announced today that it has been named a finalist in three 2023 Manufacturing Leadership Awards categories from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). The company’s CertainTeed Roofing plant in Shakopee, Minnesota was recognized for its achievements in sustainability and circular economy, while its Saint-Gobain Life Sciences’ facility in Akron, Ohio was honored for its work to create a transformational culture. In addition, one of the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety professionals, Emily Ambrose, has been recognized in the category of Next-Generation Leadership.   

SAINT-GOBAIN ACQUIRES ASPHALT SHINGLE RECYCLING TECHONOLOGY, ADVANCING ITS COMMITMENT TO WASTE REDUCTION

Saint-Gobain North America, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed Roofing, has acquired the rights to technology from recycling partner Asphaltica that will allow the company to recycle asphalt shingle waste, diverting it from landfill and furthering the company’s commitment to creating a circular economy in its production of roofing shingles.
