WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Position Summary

Coordinates plant maintenance activities to minimize costs and production downtime through the effective use of craft labor, materials, and services. Plans major plant maintenance activities and promotes effective planning and scheduling techniques to improve coordination between Maintenance and Production supervision. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and review corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks with Maintenance Supervisors and the Maintenance Manager.

  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to pre-kit materials for planned work and create purchase requisitions in advance to minimize the impact on storeroom inventory.

  • Expedite materials for emergency work and prepare critical path schedules for critical maintenance activities.

  • Develop task lists, estimated man-hours, safety requirements, and work performance criteria for maintenance tasks.

  • Maintain open communication with Production and Maintenance to effectively plan and schedule assigned work.

  • Coordinate corrective actions and root cause analysis related to equipment failures.

  • Recommend and implement safety best practices.

  • Plan and facilitate weekly and daily scheduling meetings and communicate daily schedules to assigned departmental employees.

  • Review planned maintenance instructions for accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency, and develop optimum maintenance strategies for all equipment.

  • Ensure Bills of Materials are accurate and up to date.

  • Report all Environmental Health & Safety incidents, including injuries, near misses, first aid cases, environmental incidents, and property or equipment damage.

  • Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilities.

  • Participate in the development, understanding, and review of all position Job Safety Analyses.

  • Conduct required safety audits and complete near-miss reporting in accordance with plant goals and objectives.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • 2-year technical degree or higher preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Competent knowledge of maintenance systems and organization.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SAP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic machine components and design.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $72,500 to $111,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. 
 
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $79,025 to $131,570. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
