As a Warehouse Utility – General, you'll play a critical role in ensuring materials and finished products move safely and efficiently throughout our facility. This dynamic position offers variety each day, with opportunities to operate forklifts, heavy equipment, and material handling systems while supporting production, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. Key Areas of Focus & Core Responsibilities
- Safely load gypsum board products onto trailers and railcars for customer shipments.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform inbound receiving activities, including unloading trucks and managing material storage areas.
- Operate and maintain the dunnage machine to support shipment preparation.
- Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to receive raw materials and feed production systems.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure the correct materials are delivered to production hoppers.
- Monitor and manage raw material inventory storage areas and maintain proper material segregation.
- Conduct equipment inspections and basic autonomous maintenance activities.
- Identify product quality issues and assist in maintaining shipment quality standards.
- Support inventory management through cycle counts and inventory verification activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting 5S initiatives.
- Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Utilize computer systems to complete safety training, documentation, and assigned tasks.
- Assist with general warehouse and housekeeping activities as needed to support operational requirements.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two or more years of manufacturing and forklift experience required.
- Heavy equipment or front-end loader experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team-based environment.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to changing priorities and schedules.
- Experience with autonomous maintenance practices (clean, inspect, lubricate) is a plus.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to safely work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to industrial noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors throughout varying weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and operation of industrial equipment throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as required to perform job duties safely.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety requirements. - Requires continuous visual attention and situational awareness while operating forklifts, front-end loaders, and other industrial equipment.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate equipment controls and perform routine inspections and maintenance activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and safely with team members in an active production environment.
- Must be able to work assigned schedules and adapt to shift changes based on business and production needs.
