WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Production Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality cellulose-based products. This role supports daily production goals by ensuring efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Essential Duties:

  • Performing tasks such as adding paper to a conveyor belt, receiving finished bags of material, and getting them ready for palletizing.
  • Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Perform material handling and packaging of cellulose products
  • Conduct routine quality checks to ensure products meet ICC specifications
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with equipment maintenance
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE requirements and hazard awareness
  • Participate in housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and team-based problem-solving
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and team members regarding production status or issues
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety policies
  • Participate in safety meetings and training
  • Report hazards, near misses, and incidents immediately
  • Actively contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Work Environment:

  • Industrial manufacturing setting
  • Exposure to cellulose materials, dust, and moving machinery

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety rules, and production schedules

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30-40 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (dust, noise, temperature variations)
  • Ability to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, shoes, etc.)
