WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This position is designed to accomplish goals of the organization by coordinating and managing facility repairs or projects that require planning, research of solution, gathering of larger or detail specific material list, dealing with multiple resources and or specialized vendors. This position requires technical skills and knowledge of the process/facility maintenance as well as strong capabilities in areas of planning, scheduling, organizing, follow-up and cost control. The incumbent is held accountable to ensure activities are carried out in compliance with all environmental, health and safety requirements, policies and procedures.

Ensure projects and assignments that require repair, replacement and upgrading of the facility, internally and externally are closely monitored to completion. Provide direction to non-exempt hourly direct reports. Work through other departments, as appropriate, to accomplish role's responsibilities. The incumbent will receive instructions on task specifications and design constraints, as well as technical direction during assignment. Long term, mid-term and daily planning are key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for projects including but not limited to: roof repair, paving, wall repair, floor repair, lighting upgrades, and structure upgrades
  • Review and manage project planning, budgets, schedules, and deadlines
  • Support several departments, including Production, Maintenance, Warehouse/Shipping
  • Manage and analyze projects, contractors, and establish critical objectives
  • Manage all major fire system repairs and routine maintenance, including required testing like the annual fire pump flow test and riser trip testing.
  • Coordinate and carry out all required local and state inspections for the fire system & pressure vessels. This includes the annual local fire chief inspections, annual pressure vessel external inspections, sprinkler annual inspections, and the routine fire extinguisher inspections.
  • Manage all aspects of the plant's fire protection systems.
  • Manage the plant's inclement weather response, such as snow removal, storm damage, and maintaining severe weather supplies like ice melt, shovels, etc.
  • Perform safety orientation for any new contractor the maintenance department brings in or any contractor whose last orientation was over 1 year ago
  • Manage the maintenance of any mobile equipment not covered in the mobile equipment service agreement, such as scrubbers and pressure washers.
  • Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders, contractors, and department Managers
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Plan and forecast capital improvement projects with a 5-year plan.
  • Apply WCM tools to projects and processes to improve quality, reduce defects, as well as improving costs
  • Report all EH&S incidents-injuries/recordables, near misses, first aid, environmental and property/equipment damage
  • Adhere to waste management and recycling responsibilities
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Handle all the plant's facilities-related concerns put into the 4orms system.
  • Manage the plant's pest control.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • 2 + year degree in a technical field preferred, and/or (3-5 years of equivalent experience in facilities maintenance planning)
  • 3+ years of Supervisory experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Advanced computer skills with proficiency in the use of MS Office (familiarity with Kronos and SAP a plus). Ability to use AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Proven ability in problem analysis and resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage all aspects of facility repair/upgrade projects with multiple contractors simultaneously. Proven project management experience required.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

Certain states require pay information to be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is [$81,500-$126,500] per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.


In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is [10%] of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is [$89,650 to $139,150].
