WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
- Supervises the daily activities of all warehouse, shipping, receiving and inventory management functions to include, labor scheduling, storing, shipping, space management/cycle counting and housekeeping.
- Supervision of shipping personnel to attain high degree of efficiency and provides key leadership to safety, quality, housekeeping, and cost reduction while promoting positive employee relations within the team.
- Consistently and equitably, enforce plant rules, holding crewmembers accountable for all facets of their jobs.
- Supervisor is held accountable to ensure shipping activities are carried out in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements, compliance with legal and company policies, and procedures in a manner consistent with SGC CertainTeed LLC Principles of Conduct and Action.
- Directly supervises the hourly shipping employees activities pertaining to material management, equipment problems, truck loading, truck traffic, housekeeping, cycle counting, inventory management. Will lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance to all safety, environmental and health policies, procedures, and practices.
- Communicates & documents employee expectations and assess employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees.
- Oversees the training of shipping employees to ensure they receive adequate training prior to operating forklifts and any other motorized equipment ensuring they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Understands and performs cycle count activities and how it can affect inventory and all warehouse functions and all inventory locations are maintained with the correct inventory to ensure shipping documents are accurate - first in first out should be the priority.
- Investigates shipping & inventory errors and develops root cause analysis for corrective action
- Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas. Assures warehouse lighting infrastructure is operation and functioning for efficiency and safety.
- Reviews and approves employee time in the UKG timekeeping system and ensures employees are paid the correct hours and wages in accordance with the respective sites pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements.
- Collaborate with sales and finance to reduce slow moving and obsolete inventory
- Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure Forklift fleet and equipment are in good working condition and operators are following forklift operating rules
- Processes customer shipments using outbound process flow in SAP that will ensure optimal location loading, efficient manpower usage and accurate inventory transactions
- Support the raw material purchasing group as required to maximize cost savings and raw material quality. Support raw materials cycle counting monthly activities and oversee the shipping and support receiving of all finished goods and raw material processes.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
- 5 or more years of experience in the Warehouse/supply chain (manufacturing environment preferred) including raw material planning
- SAP Experience
- Good working knowledge of warehouse/shipping policies, procedures, operations and general transportation processes.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US
The national pay range for this position is $81,500-$126,500 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other things. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $89,650-$139,150
