We are seeking a motivated entry-level mechanic who is eager to build a career in industrial maintenance. This role is ideal for candidates with a college diploma, trade foundation, or technical diploma who are ready to be trained and developed within a structured maintenance system.

The successful candidate will support the maintenance team, gain hands-on experience, and progressively develop the technical skills required to become a licensed Industrial Mechanic or Millwright.

• Shift change may be required to support operational needs

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Occasional Weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and test manufacturing equipment in accordance with specifications;
• Provide mechanical and technical support to production equipment and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
• Assist with and/or lead equipment inspections, identifying early signs of wear or failure;
• Complete repairs, rebuilds, and fabrication of production line machinery and components;
• Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives;
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and support timely resolution;
• Assist with or perform assembly/disassembly of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components;
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment (5S standards);
• Accurately document maintenance work in logs or CMMS systems;
• Communicate with suppliers, contractors, and technical teams for troubleshooting support;
• Follow direction from Maintenance leadership and effectively prioritize tasks;
• Adhere to all company policies, including health & safety, LOTO procedures, and quality standards.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

• College Diploma, Trade Foundation, or Technical Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Maintenance (or related field);
• No license required — willingness to learn and grow is essential;
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems (gears, bearings, belts, conveyors, etc.);
• Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, or industrial equipment (asset);
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or diagrams (asset);
• Strong interest in hands-on mechanical work;
• Good safety awareness and willingness to follow procedures;
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic;
• Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team;
• Ability to work under pressure.

Working conditions:

• Frequent presence on the production floor is required;
• Duties involve walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces as needed;
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with government regulations and company policies.
