Helping Make a Difference in Our Communities

To make a difference in the quality of life in the communities where we live and work, the Saint-Gobain Corporation Foundation provides financial support for charities and educational institutions through such programs as Plant Community Gifts, Matching Gifts and Direct Grants programs.

A North American program, the Foundation matched nearly 1,800 employee donations in 2014., providing more than $1 million in funding to nearly 700 non-profit groups in  the U.S. and Canada. Saint-Gobain employees also show their commitment and generosity by donating food, clothing and toys as well as volunteering and taking part in community work parties, walkathons and food drives.

Building Community Partnerships

Through our strong involvement in local communities, we’ve built powerful, creative partnerships with a variety of remarkable people and programs. Working together, we’re able to achieve real results that uplift the lives those around us. Recent examples of the various ways that Saint-Gobain gets involved include:

  • YouthBuild USA, to which we donate funds, building materials, and employee volunteer hours to projects in Worcester, Philadelphia, Schenectady and Canton.
  • United Way of Worcester, who has honored Saint-Gobain for our ongoing support and leadership role in the community.
  • Girls Inc., a local non-profit for which we donated all the supplies and labor needed to refinish a gymnasium floor.
  • Employees of our plants in Merrimack, New Hampshire and Hiram, Ohio have donated our OneSuit hazardous material suits to their community hazmat teams.
