Convaincu de l'urgence de faire avancer la construction durable face aux défis climatiques, aux changements démographiques et à la nécessité de protéger les ressources, Saint-Gobain a lancé en 2023 l'Observatoire de la Construction Durable. Cet Observatoire publie aujourd'hui la deuxième édition de son Baromètre de la construction durable , une étude menée par l'institut de recherche CSA, pour mieux comprendre les perceptions des principaux intervenants et les leviers à actionner pour accélérer le développement de la construction durable au Canada et dans le monde.

SAINT-GOBAIN ACHIEVES CORE LIVING BUILDING READY DESIGNATION FROM THE INTERNATIONAL LIVING FUTURE INSTITUTE FOR CERTAINTEED INNOVATION MALVERN RENOVATION

Saint-Gobain announced today that CertainTeed Innovation Malvern, its research and development center located on its North American headquarters campus in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has received a Core Living Building Ready designation by The International Living Future Institute (ILFI), only the second interior renovation project in the world to achieve this distinguished status.

SAINT-GOBAIN NORTH AMERICA RECOGNIZED AS FINALIST FOR FOUR 2024 MANUFACTURING LEADERSHIP AWARDS FROM THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MANUFACTURERS

Saint-Gobain North America announced today that its team members have been named finalists in three 2024 Manufacturing Leadership Awards categories from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM). The company’s CertainTeed Roofing plant in Oxford, North Carolina was recognized for its achievements to create a transformational culture, while its Saint-Gobain Life Sciences’ facility in Beaverton, Michigan was honored for its work in the category of sustainability and circular economy. In addition, Ben Thieme, an engineer with Saint-Gobain ADFORS in Dublin, Georgia, and Jonathan Miller, an Automation Integration and OPEX Manager at Saint-Gobain Life Sciences in Akron, Ohio have been recognized in the category of Next-Generation Leadership.    

SAINT-GOBAIN ANNONCE SON INTENTION D’ACQUÉRIR LE GROUPE DE SOCIÉTÉS BAILEY, CHEF DE FILE EN SOLUTIONS DE CONSTRUCTION MÉTALLIQUES AU CANADA

Saint-Gobain, par l’entremise de sa filiale de matériaux de construction CertainTeed Canada, a annoncé aujourd’hui son intention d’acquérir le groupe de sociétés Bailey (« Bailey »), grand fabricant canadien de systèmes commerciaux de charpente métallique et de construction. L’ajout complémentaire de la gamme existante de produits de charpente métalliques de haute qualité de Bailey au Canada élargira l’offre globale de Saint-Gobain dans cette catégorie et renforcera davantage la position de la société en tant que chef de file mondial de la construction légère et durable. Dans le cadre de l’acquisition en cours, Saint-Gobain fera également l’acquisition des capitaux propres et des actifs restants de The Grid Company, coentreprise de fabrication d’ossature de plafond qu’elle exploite avec Bailey depuis 10 ans. De plus, une fois approuvée, l’acquisition visera toutes les divisions du Groupe Bailey, soit Produits Métalliques Bailey, Bailey Metal Processing et Métaux Agway.

SAINT-GOBAIN ANNOUNCES INTENT TO ACQUIRE THE BAILEY GROUP OF COMPANIES, LEADERS IN METAL BUILDING SOLUTIONS IN CANADA

Saint-Gobain, through its building materials subsidiary CertainTeed Canada, today announced its intent to acquire The Bailey Group of Companies (Bailey), a leading Canadian manufacturer of commercial metal framing and building systems. The complementary addition of Bailey’s existing line of high-quality metal framing products in Canada will broaden Saint-Gobain’s global offering in the category, and further enhance the company’s position as a worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction. As part of the pending acquisition, Saint-Gobain will also complete the purchase of the remaining equity and assets of its decade-long ceiling grid manufacturing joint venture with Bailey, The Grid Company. In addition, when approved, the acquisition will include all divisions of The Bailey Group — Bailey Metal Products, Bailey Metal Processing, and Agway Metals.

SAINT-GOBAIN REDUCES MANUFACTURING-RELATED EMISSIONS BY 96% AT THREE EXTERIOR PRODUCTS MANUFACTURING FACILITIES IN THE UNITED STATES

Saint-Gobain, through its building materials subsidiary CertainTeed Siding, today announced that it has achieved a 96% reduction (Scopes 1 & 2 only) in emissions from the manufacturing of polymer shakes, vinyl trim, millwork, and vinyl siding at its manufacturing facilities in McPherson, Kansas, Social Circle, Georgia, and Williamsport, Maryland, respectively. With fully electrified processes and 100% of the electricity used backed by renewable energy credits (RECs), Saint-Gobain has taken a significant step in its mission to provide low carbon siding products to the US market and reduce its environmental footprint.
